Weigh In (Week 4)

By Groovybabe • Jul 6th, 2007 • Category: being motivated, stuggling, water, weighing in, weightloss

Well, by hook or by crook I haveĀ  made it 4 weeks dieting! Weightloss has been much slower this week, due to a couple of pitfuls, but I am satisfied that I have lost 2lbs more. My weight, BMI, body fat weight have all reduced but for some reason my body fat % has gone higher. I’m not sure if that is possible if my weight has reduced, and the fat weight has reduced. My water content has gotten higher due to my drinking much better this week, which is good. You can view my stats here.

Anyway, now TOM is on his way out I feel much more motivated. I am going to aim for a bigger weight loss next week but even if I just get 2lbs again I will be in the next stone down and no longer “morbidly obese” at under 40bmi. Bring it on!

Groovybabe is 14.9 stones today and has lost 2lbs at her last weigh in.

  1. Well done on another week done! I used to use the Weight Watchers scales, but couldn’t get my head around the %’s and things! Have you measured yourself? Thats a great way to see your progress!

  2. Thanks, Odaatuk! I haven’t measured myself but my gym measured me and will measure me again at my 6 week interval (which is in about 2 weeks) so I’ll see the difference then. I can see a difference by looking, and am down a clothes size, so it is all good.

I am totally back on track with motivation now TOM is almost over. It’s amazing how different that time of the month feels. I never used to notice it before I was losing.

  3. Good job!!! loosing weight is not a sprint but more like a marathon, you should only lose about 2 pounds per week and you are right on scheduled, keep it up!!!!!

  4. Congrats! 2lbs a week is spot-on healthy weight loss, so well done with that! This is one journey where slow and steady really does win.

  5. You’re doing so well! :) I’m really impressed and super proud of you. A WHOLE MONTH!!!! That’s a long time!

You used to have a huge first week loss, and then the next week you’d do really well but get discouraged because it wasn’t 11 pounds or something. That’s one thing that’s different this time. You’re doing everything right, including being pleased with your results.

Thank you for being my leading inspiration. Look how fast your BMI is moving!

Congrats congrats!! I wish I would have 2 pounds per week… heck 1 pound would be fab. :)
When I clench my ab muscles, my BF% calculator measures mine as less. When I let it all hang out, it’s higher. It’s not a perfect method really…

  6. Way to go! I’m almost at week eight in my diet. Sometimes it’s all about having made the commitment and stuck to it!

    Congrats. :)

  7. Thanks guys for all your comments. It really helps me to have such great support.
