Cutting Down
By Groovybabe • Jul 15th, 2007 • Category: diet, foodI need to make a conscious effort to cut down the quantity in my main meal. When I started I would make a big salad to go with my meal in order to satisfy my then rather large appitite. Since then my appitite and stomach have shrunk but my dinner portion has not. The thing is I absolutely love my salads but don’t really need them in a main meal anymore so I will have to just have them instead of other veg a few times a week.

I’m running across a similar problem. Since adding weights and all the extra activity I have added during the day and week, I’m allowing myself to eat more than I should simply because I rationalize that I only need to cut 500 calories off what I burn. Yeah, not good. I need to cut out the extra food so that I’m not continuing to depend on that extra food. I don’t need it-it’s not like I’m hungry.
Maybe have the salad as a snack? I don’t think you should be cutting veggies out!
Veggies are the good stuff!
Betz, well I wouldn’t cut them out entirely. I was having cooked veg and salad, when in truth I don’t need both. I think i will have a couple of days where I have a salad as a part of a meal (with pasta) and the rest of the time have cooked veg. Then if I fancy eating late at night a quick salad wont hurt.
I guess its all about adjusting as we get further into our weightloss.
