I rock!!
By Groovybabe • Jul 20th, 2007 • Category: being motivated, exercise, gymDidn’t you know?!! LOL! I was feeling really hormonal down today again (don’t you hate TOM!) and was on the verge of not going at all but I told myself off and got my arse to the gym! And I went hardcore!
I was struggling on the cross trainer 3 minutes in and was on the verge of giving up but I stuck with it and did the twenty minutes. Then I got on the treadmill and I normally do 20 mins with a 3.0 incline and 4.5km but about 15 minutes in I got a source of high energy and upped my levels to 4.0 incline and 5.0km!!! I did that for five minutes but couldn’t sustain it any longer and but still wanted to do more so I did an extra 10 minutes at my normal level. Thirty minutes in total! W00t! And then on my abs crunch I upped the last two reps by 10kg!
I don’t know what got into me! I think I had a lot of stressy fustrations I needed to get out. I tell you, it’s a much more proactive way of dealing with stress than binging until your stomach hurts!
I’m sad that I have to have two days off now!!!!! I’ll have to move near my gym so I can go 3 times a day, LOL PMSL!
I have been noticing a cardiovascular improvement for a while now and it never ceases to impress me! (And its my body! Lol!) But the last few sessions I have started to notice my physical strength improving. It’s hard to explain, more ummph in my muscles; like if I was going to throw a punch (not that I would!) I could do more damage than previously. That’s giving me more confidence in protecting myself when I go out (again, not that theres any need but nice to know if it does come in handy)!
It’s funny all the little differences you notice as you go along, differences that wouldn’t have occured to you when you were wallowing in the fat.
Groovybabe is 14.9 stones today and has lost 2lbs at her last weigh in.

I want to give you a big “WOO HOO!” Your last few entries are so exciting - progress on the scales, progress OFF the scales, and a healthy attitude.
Keep it up chica, you are doing SO well!
Good on you.
I can’t get the motivation up to work out effectively at home so I’m heading back to the gym from either sunday or monday onwards. (not tomorrow - I have HP to read!!!)
I just wanted to thank you for your comments on mine and twisted cindys blog. Somes I need someone to say it is ok to have cravings, that is all just doesnt magically go away
