Weigh In (Week 6)

Weigh In week six.. who’d have thunked I’d still be going strong at this stage? The way I am going, even *I* am going to have to start believing that I am doing it this time!

Okay. So although my loss is technically low this time, it is such a huge success at the same time. In fact I feel I have many successes to celebrate this week. Let’s make a list:

  1. I lost that extra pound I was hoping for bringing me down to 17.9 stones this week (or 247lbs orĀ  112.2kg).
  2. While this only gives me a 1pound lost for this week, I have actually lost 4lbs because last weekend I put on 3lbs and it took a slow concerted effort to get them off.
  3. I now think if I’d have been careful not to put the 3lbs on I’d be down to 17.6 now, so it is a lesson well learned. Meaning I am so motivated right now even last night’s bout of depression did not move me to overeat. More on that later.
  4. I am now at 39.9 on the BMI scale which means that I am .1 under being “morbidly obese” so now I am just obese, how cool! I never thought I would be celebrating being obese but the fact that I have helped myself to improve my health to the point where I am not morbidly obese anymore is so thrilling. Especially to the anxiety driven self in me who constantly worries about dropping dead. :P
  5. My fat % is down another percent. I should note though that my fat % is much higher on the gym scales (4% higher) even though my weight there is the same.
  6. My water % has struggled to climb in the last six weeks but this week I have seen a significant rise, which is fabulous.

Wow, people. I am 17.9 or 247 or 112.2!!!! Every pound loss is so exciting to me. I never thought I would be excited by a mere 1lb loss (though, I must point out again I have lost 4lbs this week) but it feels so good! I am so proud of me. I hope you are all doing as well as me (not necessarily pound for pound but in achieving the results you set out for yourselves). You can see my stats here.

Groovybabe is 14.11 stones today and has lost 6lbs at her last weigh in.

  1. No looking back C, you’re well on your way to skinny! You’ll bypass me not long from now I’m sure. Keep at it, I hope your new workout kicks you in the butt! If it doesn’t, get the trainers to turn it up!

  2. LOL I think it’ll be a while until I catch up with you but it is an inspiring thought! I worked out yesterday that if I lose another half a stone per month (I have been losing double that) by Christmas I’ll have lost another 3 stones. Which means I’ll be down to 14.9 not 17.9! How amazing will that be!?! I think my workout is easier in some ways. The cardio is still hard going but more because I get bored than anything else. The toning tables are cool though!

  3. Groove…you are doing great! i’m gonna try to keep up with you….i’ve done some weigh ins during the week…i’ve got positive results to report…but to stick with the theme of my blog i’ll report on Monday…as usual. (hope i dont screw up my loss over the weekend!)

  4. I’ve never been called “Groove” before, I like it! LOL! Oooh I can’t wait to hear your results on Monday!!!! That’s great about keeping up with me, it’ll be great if we lose similar amount of weights together and get to goal at the same time!!
