Jogging
By Groovybabe • Sep 3rd, 2007 • Category: exerciseI am very pleased with myself because I JOGGED on the treadmill today. Woohoo. I could only fit in 15 minutes on the treadmill today and I jogged for at least 7 of those minutes. I did two minutes then walked for a few minutes before jogging again every few minutes. I did 6.5 on the treadmill, which isn’t uber fast but it is enough to make me jog. And afterwards I felt sooo good! On the bus on my way home I had such a grin on my face from being more than happy!! I have noticed my moods much more evened out since I have been working out but post jogging I felt euphoric, it is the only way to describe it. I swear, if you have been thinking of jogging rather than walking please do give it a go!
NB. If you’re new to exercise it is not advisable to jump into jogging.
Groovybabe is 14.9 stones today and has lost 2lbs at her last weigh in.

What a great milestone. Did you believe, when you started this journey, that you would actually be jogging! It will be great to see, in the same amount of time in the future, how LONG you will be able to jog. Great job.
Thanks, Rachel. To be honest, there is so much I have achieved at this stage and I never dreamed any of it would be possible. So, indeed, imagine when I lose another 35lbs…the world is my oyster!!
ENDORPHINS FTW!!! :p
I know, they’re FANTASTIC! Ever since I left the gym yesterday I have been gagging to go back, which I’m doing tomorrow. I am going to see how long I can jog without breaking into a walk!
that sounds great! i plan to incorporate jogging as well, but i will have to wait til i get closer to goal. currently the impact is not very good for my knees. i am hoping that by losing more and more weight i wont have to deal with that.
its already a lot better than it was.
Congrats on the jogging! That is just great! I am looking forward to being able to jog when I’m closer to my goal weight. In fact, being able to jog a mile is one of my exercise goals.
Keep up the good work, girl!
Well done! I love jogging.. even if it’s killer on my shin splints. Endorphins are fantastic!
