Weigh In (Week 18)
Okay… so as expected I saw a 2lb gain this week. It’s not as bad as it could have been. Yesterday I must have had close to 2000 calories and yet I lost a pound overnight, which I can only presume to be down to omitting bread from my diet. Due to my addiction it’s not been the easiest thing to give up (and not the hardest either) but I haven’t caved and that is the main thing. I might start having salads at lunch time instead. And as I saw a 6lb loss last week I can just about afford those 2lbs I’ve gained this week.
I won’t deny I am going through a battle of wills over my food at the moment but I am hopefully getting back on track. My sleeping, although not fantastic, is much better than it has been, my moods are much better thanks to the jogging and my motivation for exercise is spot on. I drank more than 2 litres of water yesterday and that really helped me to control my snacking. I’m just going to keep on the same road, keep making positive changes and slowly improve things and I am confident, with my lack of bread, I will see a drop next week - to less than the 15.10 I was last week! (15.12 today)

2 lbs girl…that isn’t bad at all and infact that is normal! You are losing weight faster than ever and it’s amazing our bodies sometimes get to a point where they go “NO” i don’t want to get rid of this anymore…our bodies become used to where they are at and to gain or stay the same for a short period of time isn’t unusual at all!! Just keep workin’ hard, you are doing great and are an incredible inspiration to people!!! *HUGS*

I used to think that I was addicted to bread and other carbs, but realised later that I ate less carbs when I had sugar in my diet visa versa. Do you suspect that your love of bread is really more about getting more sugar into your diet?

Hi Cairogal, thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting. No, I definitely do not think it is a sugar issue, I have been addicted to bread my whole life. I feel a thousand times better since I stopped eating it. I’m not cutting down on other carbs, just bread because it has such a negative impact on my body.
