What a Disaster!

I am absolutely exhausted! My weekend was pretty wild and I have had that on my mind for days so haven’t been sleeping well again. It’s funny, isn’t it - you get a glimmer of excitement in your life and you lose your mind, LOL. Last night I took a Nytol for the first time in probably six weeks and it’s completely messed my body up.

I have been having a sleep in the mornings because it means I eat less, but of course I am now not sleeping at night! Well this morning I didn’t, I took my son to school and then went to the gym. But I was useless at working out because I was so knackered.

  • I only did 20 minutes of a 35 minute treadmill work out, and didn’t do any running because my breasts are so sore. I think it is TOM.
  • I only did about half of my weight training programme today as I had no energy.
  • Only about 8 leg presses with the fitball up against the wall
  • I completely missed my 10 min cooldown on the bike.

What a disaster! Then I went and bought chocolate, crisps and sushi as well as eating a banana. I think I got over hungry because I didn’t eat before I worked out.

Added to that I think I may have an infection that is affecting my energy levels. I had blood in my urine for a few days but then yesterday I stopped drinking low sugar blackcurrent squash/juice and the colour cleared up. So I don’t know if I have an infection or not. But if not why did the juice suddenly affect my wee colour? I thought the infection might have been from drinking too much alcohol at the weekend.

That wasn’t blood. Blackcurrant juice, beetroot, asparagus, and lots of other things can change the colour of your pee. Your body doesn’t always metabolize it fully and if you drink enough of it, the colour makes it through!

When I was eating beetroot heaps my pee was always tinged with a reddish purple.

yeah but ive been drinking it for weeks now and its only just turned a funny colour, and it started when I was drinking less of it not more, so I dunno. I havent had any for over 24 hours now and still have a red tint to my wee. I might go get checked out tomorrow if it is not gone.

You said it cleared up when you stopped drinking the juice.
Yeah it depends on what else your body is trying to sort out. If you’ve been boozing recently, your liver is still sorting itself out and trying to balance you out again.
If you’re certain it’s not the juice and it is blood, I’d go in ASAP to get it checked out. Especially if you have any pain.

The red colour seems to have completely disappeared now and there is no pain as such. When it was full on red I did get a bit achy where my kidneys were but I am not entirely convinced that wasnt an anxiety attack.
