Exercise yesterday: 20 minutes walking, 10 mins bike, 15 mins XT, 35 mins treadmill (20 jogging, 15 walking), 20 minutes weight training

Yesterday I was plodding along counting my calories and it wasnt until I went to the gym in the afternoon that I felt so much better. I am not sure if it was jogging for ten minutes straight again (plus two other 5 min stints) that put me in a really good mood but it certainly seemed to do the trick. I came out of there literally buzzing.

When I signed in one instructor said “I am glad to see you are not one of the ones who are giving up over christmas.” My reaction told me that I am more committed than I realised. “No way!”, I said, “4 stones down and counting!!”

I had a good chat with my instructor too (who is leaving on Thursday) while we were jogging together. I’d been telling her how inspiring she was and there was no way I could have done it without her. She said I am doing well but I have the motivation ingrained in me now so I will be fine once she has left. She kept saying it so I am not sure if she was trying to convince herself or me, but she achieved the latter.

And after a while she commented, “you’ve been jogging for a while now, you’re doing well! How long can you do now?” It was so good for my motivation that she (or anyone!) noticed my hard work. She reckons I’ll be jogging for 30 minutes in no time at all.

Groovybabe is 14.11 stones today and has lost 6lbs at her last weigh in.
