Weigh In - 4th February, 2008

Starting weight: 19.0 st, 266lbs, 121kg
Last weeks weight: 14.5 st, 201lbs, 91.2kg
Today’s weight: 14.2 st, 198lbs, 89.9kg

I have lost 3lbs since last Monday! That is not bad going considering I have been eating like a horse (mainly sandwiches). I am really impressed with how much getting back into exercise has helped. I really should use my online weightwatchers facility but I am not seeing much of a need right now. I am in two minds whether to stop paying for it but I love the graph you get when you input your weightloss so will keep it for now.

My body image, while a thousand times better than what it was, still needs some work. I can look in the full length mirror some days and really see how much better I look. Other times I can look in the mirror and all I can see is my thunder thighs, big stomach etc and those times do really get me down. I am still “fat” now even though I look so much better, I really cannot wait until I hit that 12 stone era. When my friends were here the other week I got out my trousers that were a size 24 that I used to wear before I lost weight. They look massive. The waist on them is almost double my current waist. One of my friends was declaring, “OMG!OMG! It’s like something off GMTV! (Breakfast TV where they have weightloss case studies)” She is quite a new friend who I did not know when I was bigger, so it is probably a bigger shock for her than me. I was chatting to my other friend who I have known for 12 years about it and she said although she can see I have lost weight, lost a hell of a lot of weight, because she sees me all the time it is hard to visualise what I used to look like. She said seeing those trousers really bought home how well I have done.

I wanted to write more about this but time is against me. I may write some more later.

I’m keeping my largest pair of trousers too, I want that visual so I never go back there again.

Congrats on another great week, you are such an inspiration!
